Getting started

Plans, free trial, and billing

TachMinder's pricing is built around a simple idea: tiers differ by your situation — how many aircraft you have, whether you share access, whether you're a mechanic — never by how much AI you get. Every tier includes full AI capabilities. AI is the core of the product, and it is never gated or limited.

The plans

  • Pilot — $24/month. One aircraft. The right fit for the classic single-airplane owner-operator.
  • Partnership — $34/month. Up to three aircraft, with shared access for co-owners. Built for partnerships and co-ownership arrangements where more than one person needs eyes on the record.
  • A&P Pro — $49/month and Shop — $99/month are the mechanic-side plans. If you're an A&P or run a shop, see provider plans and staff for the details.

Annual billing gives you two months free: $240/year for Pilot, $340/year for Partnership. You can switch between monthly and annual anytime in Settings.

The 14-day free trial

Every tier starts with a 14-day free trial, and no credit card is required to start it. The trial is the full product with one limit: owner trials include 10 AI document parses — enough to run Smart Setup on a real aircraft and see what the app does with your paperwork. Document parsing becomes unlimited on any paid plan.

  1. Sign up and pick a tier

Choose the tier that matches your situation. No card, no commitment — the trial just starts.

  2. Use the full product for 14 days

Add your aircraft, upload documents, ask the AI questions. Everything works the way it will on a paid plan, subject to the 10-parse trial limit.

  3. Upgrade through checkout when ready

Because no card is on file during the trial, upgrading takes you through a normal checkout to enter payment. After that, billing runs on your chosen cycle.

Safety is never behind a paywall

One rule overrides everything else in the pricing model: safety features are never gated. Anything that affects flight safety — like an overdue AD — is visible on every tier, trial included. TachMinder will never hide an airworthiness problem behind an upgrade prompt.

Sharing with a co-owner

Co-owner sharing requires Partnership or higher. If you're on Pilot and tap Share with Co-Owner, you'll get a simple upgrade path to Partnership rather than a dead end — the app walks you straight from "I want to share" to a plan that can.

Managing your billing

Everything billing-related lives in Settings, under your plan and billing section. From there you can:

  • Upgrade to a higher tier.
  • Downgrade — the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep what you paid for.
  • Switch between monthly and annual billing.
  • Cancel, and reactivate later if you change your mind.

Current pricing is always published on the pricing page. For what the AI actually does day to day, see Ask TachMinder and the AI features.

TachMinder is an informational tool only. It is not a substitute for a certified A&P mechanic or IA. Only certificated mechanics and appropriately rated repair stations can approve return-to-service. Always verify Airworthiness Directive data with the FAA AD database (drs.faa.gov). TachMinder does not certify airworthiness.
